This year’s Travel Aware Summer Campaign

ABTOT is a partner of the Travel Aware public-facing campaign run by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office’s (FCDO). 

Its aim is to communicate key information to British Nationals living, travelling or working overseas, and to encourage them to take key steps before they travel abroad to help them enjoy a safe trip. These include checking the FCDO Travel Advice pages, signing up for Travel Advice email alerts, and knowing the local laws and customs of the destination country before travelling.

This year, Travel Aware’s Summer Campaign will also include specific focus on: 

  • Travel Insurance – aimed at all travellers to ensure they do not  take any actions that invalidate their travel insurance.
  • Youth Safety – aimed at 16–30 year-olds travelling to resorts in southern Europe, promoting the take up of key safety behaviours (under a single banner of ‘Stick With Your Mates’).
