Join our exclusive webinar with ABTOT Associates Claire Ingleby, Director, mb LAW and Ben Duhig, CEO, Bluesoup Communications who discuss how to avoid potential action by regulatory authorities and reputational damage from misleading green claims.
Since 2021, when the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) introduced the Green Claims Code, UK regulators have been paying closer attention to how businesses present their environmental credentials. This has included the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) taking action by requiring the withdrawal or amendment of ads which make exaggerated or misleading green claims.
Getting it wrong can be costly — with potential fines and serious reputational damage.
The key takeaways from this webinar are:
- Understand the UK CMA guidance on making environmental claims on goods and services.
- Learn how the EU is setting a higher regulatory bar with its Green Claims Directive and what that means for UK businesses with EU customers.
- Discover the most common greenwashing pitfalls that the ASA sees businesses falling into and how to avoid them.
