  • Chris Gallant

    Director
    Pharos Response

Twenty-four years after the first national headline-grabbing critical incident Chris had to respond to involving the death of a child on a school trip, he has since managed the communications response to a vast number of travel and adventure related critical incidents. A communications professional who started out in PR before finding a niche for avoiding the column inches rather than attracting them, Chris now uses his unique experience and skillset to assist clients in his role as a founding Director of the crisis, risk & reputation management company, Pharos Response.

Pharos Response regularly helps clients from the travel, adventure, education and youth sectors before, during and after a major incident from an operations and communications perspective. Chris’s personal focus is on managing stakeholder and media communications, in order to do the right thing by those involved and to help protect brand integrity.

When not responding to incidents, Chris volunteers as a Trustee of a Multi-Academy Trust, he is a school Governor, a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Association (FRGS) and, with a passion for the outdoors, Chris can sometimes be found mountain walking, kayaking or cycling.
