ABTOT is a recognised body within the travel bonding industry providing protection for non-licensable turnover.
ABTOT offers a straightforward and economical way of complying with the Regulations without the need to join a trade body. A central part of ABTOT's role is to reassure the public that their money is safe with ABTOT members.
- Membership ensures that their customer's holiday money is safe;
- It means that ABTOT members' customers will never be stranded abroad in the unlikely event of a claim;
- ABTOT's logo is recognised within the travel sector and by the Department for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform (BERR) as a suitable means of financial protection;
- ABTOT looks favourably upon start up companies and often our financial criteria is less than that required by other larger bonding associations making it easier to become bonded in the early years of trading;
- ABTOT is administered by Travel & General Management Services (tgms). which is a sister company of Travel & General Insurance Company plc (tgic), who are able to offer a range of services for both the member and the public (policies for Professional Indemnity, Travel Insurance for travel organisers or the public, ATOL and ABTA bonds and a dynamic per passenger insurance policy called topp;
